However, in an environment of fear and the constant threat of retaliation, trade union rights and freedoms in T\u00fcrkiye are increasingly under attack, facing significant legal and practical barriers to organising and collective bargaining.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559738&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Trade union leaders and members are also at growing risk of imprisonment. Among them, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u0130smet Aslan<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, an employee of KESK and a member of UNI affiliated <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sosyal-\u0130\u015f Union<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, who has been imprisoned for over six months without a fair trial, but fortunately now has been released. Aslan, who suffers from skin cancer, had been denied essential medication and medical care.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559738&quot;:120}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This must end.<\/span><span
