Citizens say\u00a0better living standards should be the priority for Europe in the new mandate, polling published<\/a>\u00a0by the European Parliament shows.<\/p>\n Rising prices and the cost of living (42 per cent) and the economic situation (41 per cent) emerged as the top concerns of 26,000 citizens in the European Parliament\u2019s post-election Eurobarometer.<\/p>\n The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) calls on the new European Commission to bring their actions into line with the priorities of citizens.<\/p>\n
